Union Dale is a borough in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 267 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Endless Mountains region of northeastern Pennsylvania, about 25 miles north of Scranton. The town was named after the union of two railroads, the Delaware and Western and the Jefferson. The town is home to several outdoor recreational areas, including the Elk Mountain Ski Resort and the D&H Rail-Trail, which is a popular place for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The surrounding area is known for its scenic beauty, with rolling hills, forests, and lakes.
